Explosion hazard: Handling oxygen correctly
Handling explosive gases requires a high level of sensitivity from everyone involved. That’s why Linde plc has made “We put safety first”* its top priority. Every employee who handles gases such as oxygen must be aware of what he or she must observe during handling to avoid triggering a dangerous or fatal explosion.
To ensure that this goal is achieved, we have designed and implemented several training components with Linde:
In an online training session lasting around 45 minutes, new and established employees learn how to minimize risks when handling the flammable substance.
An explanatory video makes it easy to understand which protective measures and behaviors protect employees from injuries and accidents.
In addition, employees have the opportunity to analyze their own near-accidents and work out correct, safe behavior in a classroom training session lasting around 3 hours.
In this way, the training makes Linde’s core belief real: “All accidents and injuries are preventable.”**
